If you have the space, a wardrobe, chest of drawers and side tables are adequate for most people. Decluttering can be a useful process before you buy any furniture: be ruthless (and honest) about what you actually wear and need to keep. And think carefully about how you store your clothes: do you like to hang everything or are some items better folded? A duvet’s tog rating indicates the amount of warmth it provides.Ideally, you should change your duvet to reflect whether it is warmer or colder at night. Winter tog ratings range from around 10.5 to 13.5, and summer from around 3.0 to 7.0. When making your choice, factor in whether you sleep alone or with a partner, temperature of the room (turning the heating off is advised) and whether you prefer lighter or heavier feeling covers.
