How to hang a mirror

Hanging your new mirror can take a bit of planning and patience but the results are worth it.

Make sure you have all the right screws and wall fixings before you start. Think about the type of wall you are hanging your mirror on and also the weight of the mirror. Plaster or drywall isn’t usually strong enough to support a heavy wall mirror, so make sure any screws or hooks are attached to wooden beams behind the plaster.

For a freestanding mirror that doesn’t need hanging, make sure both the wall and the floor is flat enough for it to lean against.
